Sioux Falls Day at the Legislature: February 19, 2020
What is Sioux Falls Day?
This one-day event takes place in Pierre during the legislative session. Chamber members have the opportunity to meet and visit with state legislators and show community support for Sioux Falls area issues being discussed in Pierre. Members leave Sioux Falls in the morning on buses where they network with fellow Chamber members, attend a luncheon in Pierre featuring top government officials and legislative leaders, watch session in action, take a photo on the Capitol steps and return to Sioux Falls.
6:15 a.m. – Depart Sioux Falls
9:30 a.m. – Arrive in Pierre
10:00 a.m. – Sit in on Committee Meetings
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Lunch in the Rotunda with Sioux Falls area legislators
12:45 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Presentation and Q&A from elected officials such as the Governor and other legislative leaders
2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Sit in on House and Senate session
3:30 p.m. – Group photo on the stairs
3:45 p.m. – Depart for Sioux Falls
