City Council Updates

City Council is briefed on public transit: SAM OnDemand

The City Planning Department provided an update on the SAM OnDemand pilot project. SAM OnDemand is an innovation pilot project that came out of the Sioux Falls Transit Core Team process. SAM will run on Saturdays and possibly on weekday evenings. To learn more about SAM OnDemand click here.

City Council is briefed on Tomar Sports Park and Tennis Complex

The executive director of the Sioux Falls Tennis Association, Lydia Healy, provided a briefing on Play It Forward, a campaign led by the Sioux Falls Tennis Association. The Department of Social Services intends to amend rules to add a definition for telehealth. The general authority for these rules, as cited by the department, is SDCL 1-36-25, 27A-5-1, and 34-20A-27. A public hearing will be held July 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. CT at the DSS Building, Pheasant Conference Room, 811 East 10th Street, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
