Annual Events
Every year the Chamber holds annual events to commemorate our members, our accomplishments and our community. From the annual meeting to summits and conferences, the events are a great way to learn, network and celebrate with other Chamber members and the people of the Sioux Falls area.
Ag Appreciation Day
Each August, the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with dozens of area businesses, sponsors Ag Appreciation Day in conjunction with the Sioux Empire Fair. Approximately 5,000 area farmers take part in a free meal sponsored by the Chamber and served by its member volunteers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hundreds of Chamber member volunteers help support the activities of the Agri-Business Division throughout the year. Contact Brooke Hendrickx for more information.
Annual Meeting
The Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting offers a unique opportunity for our members to celebrate the business accomplishments from the past year and preview the Chamber’s vision for the upcoming year. The Annual Meeting, typically held in October, is the largest gathering of business professionals in the region and it kicks off the next Chamber year.
Good Morning Sioux Falls
This informative event is held twice each year, once in January as a preview to the South Dakota Legislative session, and again in the spring to talk about issues like summer road construction projects, recent elections and other business issues. Good Morning Sioux Falls is also a great way to network with other Chamber members over a tasty breakfast.
Crossroads Summit
The Crossroads Summit is a one-day, biennial conference put on by the Chamber’s Young Professionals Network. The event attracts professionals from all industries around the region to network, learn and build relationships.
Cybersecurity Conference
Businesses of every size need a cybersecurity plan. At the Chamber’s annual Cybersecurity Conference, you can learn from experts in the field what you can do to protect your business.
Sioux Empire Livestock Show
The Sioux Empire Livestock Show is an annual tradition dating back to 1956. This event brings thousands of people from across the nation to Sioux Falls for several days of market and purebred livestock shows and sales. Volunteers and members of the Chamber make sure that everything runs smoothly. Contact Brooke Hendrickx for more information.
Sioux Falls Day at the Legislature
This one-day event takes place in Pierre during the legislative session. Chamber members can meet and visit with state legislators and show community support for Sioux Falls area issues being discussed in Pierre. Members leave Sioux Falls in the morning on buses, attend a luncheon in Pierre featuring top government officials or legislative leaders, watch session in action and host an afternoon social before returning to Sioux Falls. Contact Teresa Schreier for more information.
Veterans Day Ceremony
Among the days of national remembrance, none is more moving to Americans than Veterans Day. Each year on November 11, the Chamber’s Military & Veterans Affairs Committee partners with local veterans organizations to host a program honoring our nation’s veterans. The program is free and open to the public.
Inside Washington
Each member of South Dakota´s congressional delegation is invited to join Chamber members for a luncheon meeting to discuss issues of importance and answer questions from Chamber members in attendance. The event provides the chance for a valuable exchange of ideas and information between members of Congress and the Sioux Falls area business community. The Chamber’s Issues Management Council sponsors the Inside Washington series, which is typically held in late summer. Contact Teresa Schreier for more information.
