Newly-Appointed South Dakota Governor Rhoden and Lt. Governor Vehuizen to Meet with Chamber Members

As many of you are aware, South Dakota’s former Governor Kristi Noem was appointed to President Donald Trump’s cabinet as the Secretary of Homeland Security early this year. Due to this appointment, Governor Noem was required to resign her position as Governor of South Dakota. Upon her departure, Lt. Governor Larry Rhoden assumed the office of Governor and appointed a new Lt. Governor, Tony Venhuizen.
Following this historical change in our state’s executive office, Governor Rhoden and Lt. Governor Venhuizen want to hit the ground running and get more connected with citizens and business leaders across South Dakota to learn what is important to them. The Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce has the great opportunity to host an event featuring both Governor Rhoden and Lt. Governor Venhuizen to connect them with leaders in the Sioux Falls area. This opportunity will allow the Governor and Lt. Governor to share more about themselves, discuss priorities for the remainder of their term, and to hear from our members on what is important to the Sioux Falls business community.
The event will take place on March 17 at 3 p.m. at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance, Inc. The Governor and Lt. Governor will take moderated questions from 3 to 4 p.m. Following this, there will be a social hour for Chamber members to mingle and connect with our new Governor and Lt. Governor.
