Intro Sioux Falls aims to connect newcomers to the city

An event taking place this week will allow individuals who recently moved to Sioux Falls to familiarize themselves with the neighborhoods, attractions and resources of the city. Intro Sioux Falls will be held Thursday, June 15 from 4-7 p.m. at Great Shots.

The Young Professionals Network (YPN) of the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce organized Intro Sioux Falls as a way to support workforce development efforts in the area. The event is geared toward interns and temporary or new residents of the city and will encourage them to make Sioux Falls their permanent home.

YPN Manager Casey Boerger said that event will showcase all the great things Sioux has to offer its residents. “Whether you are brand new to Sioux Falls, or you have roots here and recently returned, Sioux Falls always has something new to discover. YPN volunteers are eager to talk with attendees about their neighborhood and share personal recommendations for shopping, dining and entertainment,” said Boerger.

Intro Sioux Falls is free to attend and open to all. A short program will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will include comments from Mayor Paul TenHaken and other event hosts.
