Message from the Chair

Can you believe we are already at the end of 2024? This year has sure flown by. When I became the Chair of the Board of the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce in October, I challenged all of us to take stock of where our city has been, where we are and where we want to go. I think December is a good time for us to do the same for our personal and professional lives. Let’s reflect on where we’ve been, celebrate our 2024 wins and set ambitious goals for 2025. By doing this now, we can enter the new year with a renewed sense of purpose and determination.

Speaking of the new year, the 100th South Dakota Legislative Session will open in Pierre on January 14, 2025. As in years past, this Centennial Session will be one to watch. In this issue, we have provided you with the annual guide to the legislators that represent the Sioux Falls area. I encourage you to take this opportunity to learn more about your local legislators.

As I conclude, please indulge me on a personal note. In this issue is PREMIER’s Milestone Anniversary employee recognition ad. We are celebrating 99 employees who have been with the company for 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years. We’re very proud of these employees and grateful for their longevity. We’ve always said PREMIER’s greatest asset is our people. I hope you feel the same about your teams and take the opportunity this month to thank them for their hard work.

Be proud of what we have built in Sioux Falls! It will take all of us working together to keep pushin’ on to move our community forward.
