What issue do you anticipate this session that may have the greatest impact on the business community and why?

Since our Revenues are going back to normal, as a member of the Joint Appropriations and Senate Appropriations, I will be working with these committees and the legislature to manage our revenues to maintain a balanced budget. We will do this by considering the needs of education, state employees, health care workers and veterans. This will be a much different year than the past three years where we have had excess funds from both the Federal Government and State Revenues. Nursing homes, child care, infrastructure and a tuition freeze will also be on my priority list.
