What is the most pressing challenge facing our community and how would you work to address it?

We know Sioux Falls is experiencing significant growth and will continue to do so. Our greatest challenge today is ensuring that the decisions we make now allow future generations to enjoy our existing quality of life. We need to be very thoughtful in our planning, particularly regarding infrastructure, public safety, and workforce development. As we welcome new businesses and families, a top priority needs to be the development of new infrastructure that makes sense and the maintenance of our current infrastructure. Second, we have an obligation to make sure people feel safe in every part of the city. Finally, we need to both recruit and develop a workforce capable of meeting the needs of our community’s growth.

My goal is to always reflect on how most decisions I make will impact Sioux Falls residents today as well as those who call Sioux Falls home decades from now.
