Message from the Chair
What an incredible milestone we celebrated together at our 120th Annual Meeting. As your incoming chair, I am stepping into this role with profound gratitude, immense optimism and a deep appreciation for the exceptional community we serve.
First and foremost, I want to extend my sincere congratulations and thanks to the extraordinary Chamber staff, volunteers and organizers. Planning an event of this magnitude is no small feat. From the vibrant social hour, the delightful live music and the meal selections to the seamless execution of our program, your meticulous attention to detail shone through. You didn’t just organize an event; you delivered a masterclass in collaboration, perfectly reflecting the theme of our event, Revolution. Thank you for working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this evening flawless.
I’d also like to thank everyone who attended and participated. The energy in the room was a powerful reminder of what makes Sioux Falls unique. We were privileged to host a phenomenal lineup of speakers, starting with Chamber Executive Vice President Anna Jankord and Josh Muckenhirn of ISG, who provided an inclusive and lively overview of our Chamber’s values in practice through our programs and awardees. Then, Rabbi Alperowitz gave a thoughtful, relevant and heartfelt invocation. Chamber President & CEO Jeff Griffin reflected on our Chamber’s history, its longstanding role in advancing free enterprise and the importance of strong business advocacy at both the local and national levels.
I am deeply appreciative of Ross Perot Jr. and Sen. Mike Rounds for sharing their valuable insights on business leadership, innovation and AI. It was an honor to join them on stage for such a forward-looking conversation. Additionally, honoring T. Denny Sanford and celebrating our collective people and progress reminded all of us of the foundation upon which we continue to build.
Your presence at the event is proof of your dedication to our region’s growth. The greater Sioux Falls area thrives because of its people – business leaders, entrepreneurs and community advocates who refuse to stand still. Together, we are launching an era of transformative growth, technological advancement and economic leadership.
As I begin my term as your board chair, I am inspired by the momentum we generated at the Annual Meeting. Thank you all for your hard work, your partnership and your continued commitment to our shared future. I look forward to working alongside each of you to lead through the next revolution and achieve extraordinary outcomes for Sioux Falls in the year ahead.
