Intro Sioux Falls connect newcomers to the city

A new event taking place this week will allow individuals who recently moved to Sioux Falls to familiarize themselves with the neighborhoods, attractions and resources of the city. Intro Sioux Falls will be held Thursday, June 23 from 4-7 p.m. at Great Shots.

The Young Professionals Network (YPN) of the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce organized Intro Sioux Falls as a means to support workforce development efforts in the area. The event is geared toward interns and temporary or new residents of the city and will encourage them to make Sioux Falls their permanent home.

YPN Manager Casey Boerger said that the hosts want to showcase everything that Sioux Falls has to offer. “Our volunteers will be stationed around the facility to talk with attendees about their neighborhood and share their personal recommendations for shopping, dining and entertainment,” said Boerger.

Intro Sioux Falls is free to attend and open to all. A short program will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will include comments from Mayor Paul TenHaken and other event hosts.
